My Independent Project consist of a live performance and a written thesis to display my research and process, therefore you can look behind my mask of creation. Furthermore, there are 3 vignettes created throughout the process of making this piece : a film, poetry booklet & painting, all intertwine into this body of research in Movement Therapy.

Reflection:
After performing my solo, I felt alive. In this process I have grown and matured in confidence, it felt cathartic to finally share my dusty corners with the audience. Having my friends and family there supporting me, gave me the opportunity as a performer to take risks, within my improvised score. Having the audience present, gave me energy and more licensee to explore deeper emotions, a conversation between the 4th wall. In the process of making this performance I have pushed myself, going constantly out of my comfort zone. My research in Chaplin and Kahlo, supported my vision. In the future I will go on to develop this piece, showing it to various audiences, gaining different inspiration, fuelling my work in nuanced ways.
